See when Dalneigh Scout Hall is free and ask to book it. Nothing is booked until the district team confirms it by email.
Click a room to show only that space; click it again (or “All rooms”) to show everything.

How to Use This Page
Pick the kind of booking you need. Whichever you choose, it is only a request: nothing is booked until we have replied to confirm it, and there is nothing to pay when you ask.
On the calendar, a solid block is a confirmed booking and a paler block is a request or quote we have not confirmed yet. Use Month, Week, Day or List to look around, click a room name to show only that space, and click the month name to jump to another month. A booking of the Whole Hall shows as one outlined block across all three rooms.
A one-off booking (one date)
- Click the date you want on the calendar.
- Choose your space, or tick Whole Hall for every room.
- Choose your start and finish times. Include time to set up and to clear away. Times already taken are not offered.
- Add your details, read the letting terms and conditions and tick the box.
- Press Send booking request, or Just request a quote if you only want a price first.
An overnight stay or residential
For a stay that runs over more than one day, such as a Friday evening to a Sunday morning.
- Press Overnight stay / residential under the calendar.
- Choose your space, or Whole Hall.
- Choose when you will arrive and when you will leave. Include time to arrive and set up, and to clear away before you leave.
- Tell us the reason for the stay and how many adults (18 and over) and under-18s will be staying. Overnight stays are normally priced on the number of people staying.
- Add your details, agree to the letting terms and send the request. We reply to confirm availability and the price.
A Long Term booking (it repeats)
For something that happens regularly, such as a weekly club or a monthly meeting. Long Term bookings are always quoted first.
- Press Long Term booking under the calendar.
- Choose your space, or Whole Hall.
- Tap the day or days you would like in your first week and set the times, including set up and clearing away.
- Say how often it repeats and the last date you would like, or leave it as ongoing. Add anything we should know about the pattern, such as not during school holidays.
- Add your details, agree to the letting terms and press Request a quote. The booking secretary checks availability over the whole period and gets back to you. Nothing is confirmed until you have accepted the quote.
What happens next
We email you to confirm, or to suggest another time. Once confirmed, we send you an invoice by email, due before your booking date. Please do not advertise your event until you have heard from us.
Common Questions
Is my booking confirmed when I press send?
No. Sending the form is a request. We check it, then reply by email to confirm or to suggest another time. Until then it shows on the calendar as a paler, unconfirmed block.
Do I pay a deposit or pay online?
No. There is no deposit and no online payment. After we confirm your booking we send an invoice by email, and it is due before the booking date.
What does it cost?
The form shows an estimate once you have chosen a space and times, and we confirm the final amount in our reply. Overnight stays are priced on how many people are staying. If you want a figure before committing, use Just request a quote and we will email you one.
What is the Whole Hall?
All three rooms (the main hall, the training room and the meeting room) booked together. Tick Whole Hall in the first step of the form. It appears in the system as a single booking.
Can charities get a discount?
Sometimes. We offer a discount on a case-by-case basis, and not every charity gets one. To be considered, tick We are a charity on the form and give your charity number and the reason for the booking, for example a fundraising event or a meeting for your members. We look at each request and tell you in our reply whether a discount applies.
Do I need my own insurance?
If you are using the hall to make money, or for an activity that is not covered by our own insurance, you will need your own public liability insurance. We may ask to see a copy before we confirm.
Why does the form ask for my phone number?
So we can reach you quickly if there is a clash. It is only used to contact you and is never shown on this website. We use what you send only to answer you and do not pass it to anyone else.
Why can I not pick a date or time?
The calendar will not offer a time that is already taken. A day shown as closed means the hall is not available that day, and school holiday dates are marked so you can plan around them. If you need a time that is not offered, tell us in the notes box or get in touch.
How do I change or cancel a booking?
Reply to your confirmation email and tell us what you need. The booking secretary can also send you a private link where you can suggest a change to a date or time, or tell us you can no longer make it. Nothing changes until we confirm. The letting terms say what applies if you cancel.
How do I get in on the day?
Your confirmation email has the arrival details. We do not publish any access information on this website.
I would rather talk to someone first.
Use the contact page and tell us the date and what you have in mind. We will help you work out which space suits.
