Before You Apply
Applications are usually quicker when you have the following to hand:
- A short description of what the funding is for and who it will benefit
- An estimated cost or quote, and details of any other funding already secured
- Details of any previous grants your Group, Section or you have received from the District
- Your Group or Section bank details, if you’re asking for the money to be paid directly
Common Questions
Can I Apply to More Than One Fund?
Yes, but please only apply once per project or experience - use whichever fund best fits your request. If you’re not sure which fund applies, email the Treasurer before submitting.
What Can’t Be Funded?
All three funds generally exclude costs already paid before an application is approved, major building work or repairs, and ongoing running costs such as regular subscriptions.
How Will I Know the Outcome?
The Trustee Board reviews applications at its regular meetings. We’ll email you once a decision has been made. If your application is approved, you’ll be asked to confirm how the grant was used, usually within two months of your project or trip.
