If your Group has recently opened, or is about to open, a new Section, this grant helps with the initial costs of getting it up and running.
What It Can Cover
- Starter equipment for the new Section
- Initial leader or young member uniform
- Hall hire in the first few months
- Registration or membership fees for new starters
Eligibility
- Apply within 6 months of the Section’s official start date on the Scouts membership system
- The Section must be genuinely new - Sections re-opened less than 3 years after closing are not eligible
- One application per new Section
Award: up to £400 per new Section.
Application Form
Takes about 5 minutes. Your application will be sent to the District Treasurer and reviewed at the next Trustee Board meeting.
