Dalneigh Scout Hall is the district’s own building in Inverness, and it is available to hire. It has three spaces that can be booked separately: the main hall, the training room and the meeting room.

The Three Spaces

The main hall, empty, with clear floor space and the door to the training room at the far end.

Main Hall

The large open space - sports, dancing, keep fit and children’s parties. 16.5m by 7.5m, 3m high.

Training Room

Classes, courses and smaller groups. 6.3m long, with one half 3.1m wide and the other half 4m wide.

Committee meetings and small gatherings. 3.5m by 4.4m.

The main hall holds up to 100 people.

What the Hall Is Suitable For

  • Sports clubs - karate, judo and similar
  • Dancing classes and keep fit
  • Children’s parties for under-10s
  • Slimming and wellbeing groups
  • Committee and board meetings

What We Can’t Accept

  • Stag and hen nights
  • Adult and teenage parties
  • Bouncy castles over nine foot

Located on a quiet residential street, the hall is only available for events that will not disturb our neighbours.

What Is Included

  • Folding tables and chairs
  • Kitchen facilities - please wash, dry and return anything you use

Rates are per hour, and your booked time needs to include setting up and clearing away. Overnight stays and anything unusual are quoted individually - ask us and we will work it out with you.

What happens

4You pay us directly - there is no payment on the website.

A request is not a booking. Nothing is held until you hear back from us, so please do not advertise your event before we have confirmed it.

Booking one space does not give you access to the others without prior agreement, and your start and finish times must include setting up and clearing away.
