Donate

If you are able to donate to Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey District Scout Council, thank you. Donations help us keep Scouting affordable for every young person in the district - including the ones whose families could not otherwise manage it.

Where It Goes

  • Keeping subs low, and covering them entirely for families who would otherwise struggle
  • Maintaining Dalneigh Scout Hall, the district’s own building
  • The district equipment store, so no group has to buy its own marquee
  • Adult training, so leaders are properly supported
  • Our grant funds, which help groups start new sections and send members on international trips

Nobody involved is paid. Every volunteer in the district gives their time, so what you donate goes into Scouting itself rather than into running costs.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, adding Gift Aid increases your donation by 25% at no cost to you - £10 becomes £12.50. The donation form will ask. You need to have paid at least as much in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year as all the charities you support will reclaim on your gifts.

About the Donation Form

Our form is run by Zeffy, which charges charities nothing - no platform fee, no transaction fee, no card fee - so the district receives the full amount you give. Zeffy funds itself by asking, at the end of the form, whether you would like to add a separate voluntary contribution to Zeffy. That is not us, it is never added automatically, and setting it to zero makes no difference at all to what reaches the district.

Other Ways to Give

If you would like to set up a regular gift, give in memory of someone, leave a gift in your will, or check whether your employer will match what you give, please email the District Treasurer at treasurer@scoutsinverness.org.uk. We are always glad to hear from you.
